But… how do I order?
Ordering a commission can be confusing, but do not panic! Here’s a little guide that will walk you through the process.
Before you start, you’ll need:
For Fursuits
A clear, digital ref sheet with a front, side, and back angle
body measurements
a design that will fit the style of my work
a design YOU OWN (exceptions can be made for characters part of a large franchise)
For Art
A clear, digital ref sheet with a front, side, and back angle
a design that will fit the style of my work
And, of course, adequate funds

Filling the form
(art commissioners, you can skip this one and go straight to contacting me!)
In order to get a quote on a suit, you need to fill out my fursuit form! Some information you need to provide:
If you are 18 years or older and own the account you will use for payment
your contact info (nothing too personal, don’t worry!)
the name and ref sheet of your character
the specifications of your suit (amount of colors, amount of suit parts, if you want special features, etc.)
whether you are just looking for a price estimate, or if you are committing to me as your maker.
etc.!
Please take your time and be as detailed as possible when filling out this form! After you submit it, you will receive an email containing a summary of your quote application. This email will be sent to you within 48 hours.
If you have questions or need something on your form changed, feel free to reach out!
Slots
What are slots? Slots are essentially used to save your place in line. For example, if 5 slots are available, that means I’m only taking 5 customers for that particular service, and I finish commissions according to the slot number (slot 1 being first, slot 2 being second, etc…)
I will announce when commissions are open and slots are available on my social media, along with an email notification to users.
SLOTS ARE NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! I will pick and choose characters I think I’d be able to take on/ fit my style. I will notify you whether or not your application was accepted.
Payment
Full refunds are permitted if you have put in a down payment, but the commission has not started. Refunds are also permitted during the making process, however, 30% of what has been paid is non-refundable.
Payments are split up by percentages:
25% before I begin the commission
50% halfway through the commission
25% once the commission is complete
All online payments, pre established product or otherwise, are made through PayPal or Cashapp, of which you must have complete authorization over.
I do not permit rush orders.
Please take a look at my TOS for more information.
Contact
Once you've been accepted for a slot, I will send you a message on the site you have entered on your quote form. There we can have a more in depth discussion about your commission, I can send you updates, and more! If you cannot access the chat for whatever reason, feel free to contact me via email: madelinehein.xenojax@gmail.com
Once an art piece is finished, I will alert the art commissioner of an email or file that will contain their finished work.
Further into the fursuit making process
(art commissioners, you can skip this one)
Now comes the adventure that is building your fursuit! I will chat with you on fur types and brands, fursuit accessory accommodations, and anything else you may need to tell me.
IMPORTANT: as it stands, I currently am not able to make fursuits accommodating for people who need glasses (believe me I wear glasses too, I get it) but hopefully that changes sometime in the future!
Onto the complicated part:
Measurements
Head
all you need is your hat line! this is the biggest part of your head.
Arms
the circumference around your wrist, your forearm, your elbow, your upper arm, and your shoulder (flex while you do this!)
the length of your arm, from your pit to your wrist
WIPS and Such
(welcome back art commissioners)
WIP (work in progress) photos will be sent to you through our chat. You can absolutely request a WIP photo, but only a max of 3 per day.
While your commission is being made, let me know if I need to make revisions, but please keep your requests within reason. For example: I can change the shape of a muzzle, I cannot replace a fabric color that was previously agreed upon and already purchased.
If approval is needed to move forward, please respond as soon as you can as not to slow the process.
Traveling the galaxy
Congrats to digital art commissioners, because as previously stated, you will be notified when your commission is done and will be sent to you via email.
For badge and fursuit commissioners, it’s going to take a bit longer. (I too wish I could send you your fursuit or badge through email but alas we have not found the technology. Our group of science opossums are working on it.)
Your goods will not be sent until 100% of payment is completed. Your shipping price will vary on location, size of the commission, and weight of the commission.
Badges will be sent in both a sealed bag and a bubble mailer.
Fursuits will be sent in a plastic bag for protection, concealed in a cardboard box.
For mailing, make sure to send me an accurate address and a name for the shipment. I will send you the total shipping amount, due date, and tracking code.
Picture Day
Pictures of your commission will be posted to my social media, where I will tag you (any social media tag you prefer).
If you receive your fursuit/badge, be sure to give a review!
If you do an unboxing, please please tag me! I’d really love to see it!
Thank you for getting to the very end of the commissioners guide. If you've made it this far, please consider a commission, as it is my passion to share my art and my skills with all of you!
